Mayor Lane and Councilwoman Suzanne Klapp will lead a delegation to Alamos for two days of music, visits and relationship building across the border. Alamos will again host this major musical festival with nine days of performances in the city hall and on stages throughout the city.
Opportunities are planned to visit the elementary school, which has pen pal exchanges with Pueblo Elementary School; COBACH high school, which has student exchanges with Scottsdale; restored Spanish colonial villas and much more.
Rooms have been blocked through December 31 at the Hacienda de Los Santos (011-52-647-428-0222). Transportation can be by participation in car pooling or a comfortable and clean commercial bus from Phoenix. The group will be leaving on January 19 and returning either January 22 or 23.
